Lottie Bowman
Lottie Bowman - well, who is
she?
Lottie has loved painting
since childhood. From an easel in the garden at age 3 to a Queen's
Jubilee Drawing competition at age 6, Lottie's constantly doodled
pictures of her friends and teachers in lessons, leading on to
professional card and book illustration as well as
painting murals for both school and church.
Lottie studied fine art in York and specialised in printmaking. She
enjoys painting with her children and making her own stories. She
would like to paint pictures for galleries that show a child's view
of the world, e.g. a big yellow bus in front of York Minster!
Lottie is married with two children and a dog called Wrigley who is
one quarter whippet, one quarter terrier and half cartoon! Sophie
the rabbit also lives in the garden!
Tommy
Two Tones is a fabulous series of stories and
adventures. Lottie has loved drawing and colouring it, and making
people laugh at hedgehogs crossing the road and mice saying
"ssh"!
Silliness and colour are Lottie's contribution to children's books.
Her imagination is full of a child's adventure. When the brush is
in her hand even a pebble can become alive!
Tommy Two
Tones is a great ambulance and a
friendly face in a child's world. Look out for all his
adventures and the little details that make you
chuckle.
